Cobblestone Park
There are many benefits to economic growth (Target, movies, Starbucks, sidewalks) and a few drawbacks (traffic, cars, impersonality). One drawback to the economic growth in our area has been the loss of 1,000s of acres of greenspace. The trees are disappearing and the parking lots are taking over.
Cobblestone Park is an effort to provide our community with a combination of prepared and undisturbed green spaces for their enjoyment and use. The Park has been opened to general community use and encompasses our entire facility (11 acres) and currently has:
- A natural amphitheater seating 200 people.
- A wooded foodservice area to include cooking support for 400.
- 1 mile of walking trails (multiple miles of running/walking trails opening in 2008-2009 thanks to Tommy Allegood - Mayor of Acworth)
- A beautiful front lawn (children's park equipment to come)
- Prayer Cabanas in a Private Setting (for use by up to 12 for meetings in a beautiful setting)
Come by and take a walk, have a picnic or stay the day in one of the huts.
